EARLY NEW STAR TREK FILM REVIEW

Sorry Folks. Sam Locke's review has been pulled because he informs me that Paramount Pictures is freaking out because bloggers are posting reviews from the special April 30th showing in Chicago of Star Trek. Despite the fact that NOTHING was said at the screening about not blogging about the film, Paramount is now demanding that nothing be posted about the film until next week, which is when I will re-post Sam's review (which was VERY positive!)

Luckily, said review can now be found here:

Message From Sam Locke (the voice of George W. Bush)

Hey guys!

Only one weekend left for this year's "Splatter Theater" at the Annoyance Theater on 4830 N. Broadway here in Chicago.

Why I Don't Play Sports

By Sam Locke

It might surprise you, but I do not despise sports.
While it is true that I don't fully understand them, nor do I watch them alone, sports are one of the few times I enjoy being in a crowd of loud, excitable people. The other times involve a king sized bed, handcuffs, and two panda costumes.
I even played sports as a child, though I learned my ability was quite incompetent. Therefore, to a degree, I tend to shy away from sporting events.

Dark Knight Review

Alright, I saw the new batman movie this weekend, and even went dressed up for it. (photo by Scott Goldstein)
Thing is, this wasn't the movie I expected to see.
I'd heard all of this hype that the film was a dark, dark movie... and that's not what I saw.
I went to the Music Box theater here in chicago, and was quite astounded to see that not as many people as I expected had shown up to watch the premiere. I'd originally thought I was just lucky to get tickets when I did. But, oh well, everyone else's loss. The lights dimmed, and the film started.

Dark Knight Review

I'll be posting a review of my thoughts on "The Dark Knight" later this weekend.

Sam Locke: Director?

Hey readers,
I know, I know, it's been a good while since I've posted. I've been really busy!

I'm directing a 20 minute show for the Wednesday Night Triple Feature at the Annoyance Theater in Chicago. The show is "Love.gov" and is basically Orwell's "1984" except instead of Big Brother, the world is ruled by Match.com. The show's going great, but directing (even a twenty minute show) takes alot more time than one would assume.

More Sam Stand Up Anti-Humor

Hi guys! I've posted two more videos of my recent stand up performance at "O.I.N.K!" at the playground theater here in Chicago. For some reason, again, the blog is not allowing me to post the actual videos, so I've only posted the links. Be a bit warned, it's more akin to "Anti-humor performance art" than normal stand up comedy, so it's a bit different than when I've played Bush or Jordan in the Britethorn videos. :) thanks a bunch, and definately rate the videos, and comment! I'd love to hear what you think.

22 Weeks and 3 Days Later

Hey guys, sorry it's been a while. Things have just been really crazy lately, with different stuff going on, and finally starting to work on stand up.

I did a set at OINK (A variety show at the Playground theater, that features stand ups, improv and sketch groups) and almost did 10 minutes worth of material. Here's a small portion of the show (I will be posting more on youtube shortly.)

Hope you enjoy!

(For some reason, the blog won't let me imbed the image, so here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tONd-1-p-0 )

Sam Talks Relationships

(Editor's Note: Sam is the voice of George W. Bush in "The Ameircan Ranger" series.)

Well, it's been a while since I've posted. Things have been crazy, but thy've finally calmed down, so I thought I'd post again.

So, I thought I'd take this chance to give everyone out there relationship advice.

Super big thank you, to Sean!

Hey wanted to send out a super big thank you to Sean for setting me up the account so I can blog here! Can't wait to really dig in!
